MAKITA is an awareness project to understand visual impairments. The project aims to raise the knowledge of Filipinos aged 13 years old to 60 years old about different eye conditions.

With the thought of how it feels to become visually impaired, Andrea Arbolado planned to create an awareness project for Filipinos with low awareness level about different eye conditions. The Optometric Association of the Philippines whole heartedly accepted to help and make this project happen. By July 2021, they started working on MAKITA together.

Everything begins by searching for information related to human vision.
All gathered information will be checked and approved by Optometric Association of the Philippines.
Graphic materials such as posters and videos are created and designed by one-woman creative team.
The work is complete after sharing them to the public through social media or website.
The importance of early prevention and treatment can avoid the development of vision impairment and blindness. Increase your awareness now by learning some eye conditions.
